Elena Trailina
Trailina Elena was born in Moscow . She lives and works between Milan, Moscow and Alpes. Graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera (Milan, Italy).
Specialized in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Carrara with Professor Omar Galliani.
She is actually the member of the International Federation of artist of Russia in the section of new tecnology.
Elena works with the mix of different techniques: puncturing on metal leaves on board, enamel, bitumen, incision on design-glass and use of fire.
Using this technique she transforms two-dimensional drawing into a sort of virtual architecture as it actually manifests itself only when the light penetrates into the puncturing. The result is a drawing of pure light. The use of design-glass and gold underlined the sacrality of work caused by tradition in some Russian churches to protect the icons from numerous kisses of believers.
Elena adopts in her language the relationship between the contrast and exchange between seemingly opposing elements as the precise and disciplined process of work of puncturing and engraving and aggressive destructing use of fire in the mix that ranging from Byzantine icons to Arman.
